We work closely with Social Care Teams and Integrated Care Boards [ICBs] across London. We are commissioned directly by the Local Authority, ICB, or commissioned by a Personalised Budget/Direct Payments directly by a family. Please note that for our core home- and community-based programmes, we do not work privately with families. We made this decision a number of years ago to try to ensure that we support individuals based on their needs rather than on means.

We mainly work with older teenagers and young adults with dual diagnoses of autism and learning disability. These are not exclusive criteria but we mention this to help you make an informed decision as to whether we are the right provider.

We provide fully staffed programmes, including all direct support and clinical oversight, with all programmes based on the principles of applied behaviour analysis [ABA]. We do not use agency staff, we do not subcontract work out, and we do not provide short-term pieces of work.

Our approach relies on shared values with Local Authorities, ICBs, and/or families on support being long-term, ambitious, person-centred, and community-focused. We focus on teaching functional, meaningful skills, and do not wish to spend most of our time writing reports and protocols for others to follow. Our approach is hands on and direct, and we work with families with a shared understanding of knowledge-sharing and collaboration.

If you are a social worker, a Learning Disabilities nurse, or indeed any practitioner working within an LA or ICB, we are happy to discuss any potential referrals with you.

Please note that we are a small organisation. We only commence support with a few new young people each year, if even. We do not have designs to grow into a large organisation that risks quality in order to expand. Therefore, if we do consider a referral that you make, please note that there will be a lead-in time to:

  • Have initial discussions with you/other key stakeholders
  • Review relevant paperwork
  • Conduct initial observations as part of an assessment – this may include at home, in the community, and/or in the educational provision if applicable
  • Submit assessment for Panel consideration
  • Allocate an appropriate team that meets the needs of the individual and their family.
