Beam - Our approach

Our approach

Behaviour Analysis is the scientific study of how learning takes place. Decades of research have resulted in techniques and principles proven to create positive change in behaviour for individuals, groups and society as a whole. Putting these techniques and principles into practice is the discipline of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA).

Beam works with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD and other complex behavioural needs. We use ABA therapy to bring about meaningful and purposeful change in behaviour, growing an individual’s independence and enhancing their experience of the world. We work with children and young people across early intervention, school, university and transition years.

Clinical excellence

We aim for the highest ethical standards in all that we do. From science to practice, our team of Behaviour Analysts uphold the highest standards of professional and ethical compliance.

We acknowledge and value the uniqueness of each individual and their support system. Their needs are central to everything we do, and we ensure we provide the best possible service to reach the best possible outcome.

Evidence-based & data-driven

From initial assessment though to programme implementation, we consistently monitor progress and use data to guide our decisions. Our ABA programmes are evaluated through ongoing coaching, feedback, goal setting and documented supervision. Our clinical staff use the latest technology and apps to securely and accurately record data for analysis.

From accepting referrals through to programme implementation and monitoring progress, we take all the necessary steps to ensure we are ambitious in our goals and expectations.

Flexible & collaborative

Our multidisciplinary team employ a collaborative approach and recognise the multiple stakeholders involved in each individual’s life. We involve family, relatives and other professionals in all we do to ensure a consistent and cohesive approach is applied.
