Beam ABA

It feels like it was just yesterday when I started working with BEAM, but I officially clocked up my 2nd  year on the 6th of March 2025. What started with just a conversation with Cormac Duffy (Director of BEAM ABA services) who said, “let’s talk briefly and we will let you know if we can schedule a formal interview”. Having my formal interview passed and getting an offer letter from one of the prestigious companies in the UK was something I could not believe. It was as if my dream came true!! With all the happiness came some intimidating thoughts of leaving my country, parents and friends. Oh my… What a conflict-conflict situation it was, and I spent my nights thinking of the upcoming hardships, getting settled in the new country and my every question was what if? I finally took a leap in faith and decided to move for my career growth. Well, I can proudly say this was the best decision that I have ever made allowing me to do what I love, with people I love to work with.

As I gaze back to my odyssey, I candidly confess that relocating to another country was a daunting experience, but joining BEAM ABA was a game-changer. The transition was seamless, thanks to the supportive colleagues, intuitive system and a culture that truly embodies inclusivity. From day one, my colleagues went above and beyond to ensure I settle in effortlessly, both professionally and personally. Within a year I was prompted form Behaviour Support Therapist to Senior Behaviour Support Therapist, which was a testament to the company’s faith in my abilities and their commitment to nurturing growth. The opportunities to excel with BEAM has been endless, and currently I am pursing my master’s degree in ABA with the help and support of BEAM.  Not only that, but I also can’t thank BEAM enough for supporting me to acquire my UK-SBA competencies – bringing me one step closer to achieving my dream credential. I am sincerely grateful for BEAM’s ongoing investment in my development and their unwavering commitment to supporting my career progression.  It is safe to say I have been blown away by the amount of support and encouragement I have got from my colleagues. Earing the trust of so many people that I work with and with my clients has been a great success. Without their support I would not have been in a position that I am in today.

My day-to-day experiences at BEAM are filled with positivity, thanks to the perks and reinforcements that make coming to work a sheer delight. I have always loved the social events and celebrations, that are an integral part of BEAM’s culture and make me feel like a part of a close-knit family. My fondest memories include a bonus and a surprise gift on my first anniversary at BEAM and being crowned as a “shining star” of the House of Olive by my consultant; Emily Olive. These moments have etched my journey in my memory like a work of art. I am forever grateful for the smooth transition, the unbridled happiness, and the sense of satisfaction that comes with being part of this phenomenal team. As I look forward to many more years of growth and celebration, I am sure that this company will continue to be my second home in the UK.

Driven by my passion for growth in behavioural therapy, I sought a more challenging role after eight rewarding years in Bahrain, a journey that led me to Beam ABA Services in 2022. Since then, my experience has been nothing short of incredible. Transitioning to the UK came with its adjustments, but the supportive environment at Beam made the transition smooth.

My dedication quickly bore fruit as I was honoured as Staff of the Month while still on probation and later named Staff of the Year within my first year. This momentum propelled me to a promotion as Senior Behaviour Support Therapist in under two years, a role that continues to be both fulfilling and inspiring.

I’m excited to keep growing and contributing to Beam ABA Services, where I see a bright and impactful future ahead.

I began my journey with Beam in November 2023, and it has been nothing short of an incredible experience filled with satisfaction, personal achievements, and the opportunity to make a positive impact within the community. With a postgraduate background in Psychology and prior experience as an ABA therapist at a small company, I was seeking an organization that would provide me the opportunity to showcase my skills. I still vividly remember my interview with Beam — it was an excellent experience, and since joining, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed being part of such a passionate and closely-knit team.

There have been numerous memorable moments at Beam, but one that stands out is when I was honoured with the Outstanding Service Award. It truly feels special when a company recognizes your hard work and dedication. Another highlight of my experience is the brilliant company culture, which encourages growth, provides Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities, and prioritizes mental health and well-being.What I cherish most about working at Beam is the profound impact we, as a team, are making in the lives of individuals with special needs. Knowing that we are bringing about positive change for both the individuals and their families is incredibly fulfilling. It gives me a true sense of Ikigai — doing what I love, what I am good at and what the world needs. This journey with Beam embodies that sense of purpose and passion.

My journey with BEAM ABA Services began in Nigeria, and moving to the UK to join the team was both exciting and challenging. With BEAM’s support, I quickly adapted, gaining valuable skills in behaviour analysis, communication, and problem-solving. The experience has shaped me both professionally and personally, reinforcing my commitment to continuous learning. A highlight of my journey was receiving the Spirit of BEAM award, a recognition of my dedication and passion for my work. Grateful for the opportunity I’ve had, I look forward to many more years of growth and contribution within this incredible community.
