Clinical team announce speaker slots at Autism shows in London, Manchester and Birmingham and hold hourly workshops on the Beam ABA stand
London: 16-17 June, ExCeL stall B7
Birmingham: 23-24 June, NEC
Manchester: 30 June – 1 July, EventCity
Beam ABA, provider of applied behaviour analysis (ABA) therapy for those with autism or other complex behavioural needs, will be holding free ten minute workshops from its stand at the Autism Shows, on the hour every hour. The workshops will be run by experienced ABA consultant Catherine Browne and Beam ABA’s registered manager Cormac Duffy.
Catherine and Cormac also have speaker slots at all three shows on ‘ABA: A flexible, individualised, and collaborative approach to support individuals with complex behavioural needs’:
London, Friday 16th June, 11.35 – 11.55am (The Hub: Theatre 2), with Catherine Browne MA BCBA
Birmingham, Friday 23rd June, 11:35 – 11:55am (The Hub: Theatre 2) & Manchester, Friday 30th June, 11:35 – 11:55am (The Hub: Theatre 2), with Cormac Duffy BA MSc, Registered Manager at Beam ABA Services and published in Research in Autism Spectrum Disorders
The short, hourly workshops will focus on ABA in relation to two specific areas. One will look at the benefits of parent training. This will outline the advantages of parents and carers learning about ABA and applying their skills to children and young people with ASD and complex behavioural needs.
It will cover our online service, ABA Pathfinder, which focuses on upskilling parents to deliver ABA, while providing clinical guidance via video conferencing and analysis via an app, which allows parents and carers to record behaviours and track their child’s progress.
Another workshop will focus on communication. We will discuss how to best encourage communication skills and interpret different types of communication. Our consultants will look at how ABA can provide a means for enhanced communication.
Beam ABA will be tweeting from @BeamABAServices throughout the shows.
