Behaviour Support Therapist [Night Duty]
Salary Range: £9 – £13 p/h (depending upon skills and experience)
Core Purpose of Role: To deliver high quality communication, self-help, and support to children and young persons with behavioural difficulties in an effort to improve their life quality and achieve greater independence through the principles of applied behaviour analysis (ABA).
Required Duties:
1. To support individuals with behavioural difficulties during the night – these are waking night shifts but role holder sleeps when service user sleeps.
2. To assist in the implementation of person centred programs utilising ABA and PBS best practice
3. To monitor and take accurate data daily per service users’ targets
4. To assist service user with self-help skills including personal care and hygiene needs (e.g., toileting, nappy changing, feeding, and medication) as required
5. To model best practice and professionalism at all times
6. Enable service user to improve self-management techniques
7. To attend mandatory trainings, team meetings, and line management meetings
8. To promote safeguarding and wellbeing for service users to the highest standard
9. To implement restrictive techniques per service users’ positive handling plan as required
10. Other duties as required
Required Qualifications:
Five GCSE’s or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
Undergraduate Degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or related field
1 year of applied experience working with special needs population
Clean Driver(s) License
