“I am impressed by the quality of the service you provide and the emphasis you put on building positive relationships.”
Collaborative
Our goal is to involve the most important people in a young person’s life when developing and implementing targets and interventions. We work closely with families, modelling our practice, sharing good practice and ideas, as well as putting things in place for when we are not providing direct support.
Accountable
Each team member has been carefully recruited and trained by management staff. We pride ourselves in identifying, training, and developing enthusiastic and talented staff, offering them long and rewarding careers with us.
Outcome Focused
Our outcomes are ambitious, data-driven and meaningful. Where appropriate, we work closely with schools and local authorities to ensure outcomes compliment and mirror those within an EHCP to ensure a consistent approach throughout a young person’s day, across people, contexts, and time.
Person Centric
Each programme is individualised to meet the needs of the young person, taking into account information given by them, their family, and appropriate external stakeholders. The focus of our targets, (e.g. self-help, life skills, community access, and reduction in challenging behaviour) is agreed after discussions with the young person and family members as appropriate.
Evidence Based
Based on the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis, we take behaviour and acquisition data each session to determine what is working, what needs to change, as well as for valuable insight into the functions of behaviour and individuals’ motivations. We draw heavily on this data when putting together reports for panel requests, multidisciplinary team meetings, and internal team meetings.
